What's New in 3.0?
- New properties, methods and events allow greater control over and response
to PropertyList features and user navigation.
- New appearance options, including the ability to set separate colors for
the first and second columns, and automatic alternate row colors.
- The PropertyList can now automatically sort list items!
- The list now has an optional horizontal scrollbar.
- Customizable width for dropdown listboxes on an individual basis.
- User-resizable and manual (in code) column width options.
- Two new item types have been added -- BrowseForFolder, and HTMLColor.
- The ability to insert items at any index in the list, rather than only at
the end. A new event, PreExpand, was added to facilitate the addition of
items while a header is being expanded or collapsed.
- The new Property.Changed property allows quick checking of whether an item
is "dirty."

PropertyList Features
Assign styles to each individual list item, such as:
- String (single line textbox)
- Numeric (numeric textbox allowing decimals and dashes)
- "Browse" button (display your own dialog in response to a
Browse event)
- Boolean value (a True/False dropdown listbox)
- Color picker (display palette colors, system colors, or both)
- Custom list (dropdown listbox with manually specified values)
- Property Header style (add expandable/collapsible categories to
your list)
- DatePicker (keep up with the times)
- FileDialog (specify available file types and dialog flags)
- FontDialog (allow your user to choose fonts)
- MemoField (a dropdown multiline textbox)
- "Owner-drawn" style (roll your own item type)
- Browse For Folder (standard Windows dialog to choose a folder)
- HTML Color Picker (HTML-style hex colors rather than VB-style)
- Retrieve and set all property items through an ADO 2.0 Recordset
object for easy database integration.
- Specify a BackColor, ForeColor, MaskColor, HighlightColor, HighlightText,
Picture, and Font for each individual list item! Items added to the list
will default to the current settings in the PropertyList.
- Specify the color and style of the lines used to separate rows and columns
in the PropertyList.
- Halt all painting in the PropertyList when you have many items to add.
- Easily disable or enable editing of all list items with the AllowEdit
property.
- The DividerPlacement property customizes the sizing method used for
columns - auto-sized, centered, manual, or manual/runtime sizable.

not support HTMLHelp, you can:

download the zipped HTML files (91K).
The PropertyList control will not function in a compiled EXE until you
register and receive the usage license. Contact us for extra information on
using the PropertyList control on a Web page.
The PropertyList Standard license costs $50

Download Instructions:
- PropertyList 3.0 (VB6 build, 170KB) was
built in VB6 Service Pack 5 and requires the VB6 runtime DLL.
- Extract all included files to a single directory.
- Register ExPropList30.ocx. This is generally done using RegSvr32.exe,
which should be in your Windows folder if you have installed Visual
Basic.
- You can read the documentation to learn how to use PropertyList 3.0,
and there are also seven sample projects to give an outline of how its
properties, methods, and events work.
