Features
- Panel styles that users of the Visual Basic status control are accustomed
to using, such as date, time, and keyboard indicators (caps, scrl, num).
- Ability to place an image in each panel.
- Font, ForeColor, and BackColor properties for each panel.
- Ability to draw a panel's background with a tiled image or a horizontal or
vertical gradient.
- Intrinsic ProgressBar-panel support, which uses the RainbowProgress
control, so
you can customize a statusbar panel's ProgressBar in every way you can with
the RainbowProgress control itself.
- Optional automatic sizing of statusbar panels (none, some, or all).
- Panels can optionally allow themselves to be resized using the mouse, the
way a splitter bar is sized.

- Change the bevel size, and the distance between the border and the fill of
the progress indicator.
- Fill in any of four directions (left-to-right, right-to-left,

compiled EXE until you register and receive the usage license. The
RainbowStatus Standard license costs $35

RainbowStatus 1.0 (VB6 build,
144KB) was built
in VB6 Service Pack 3 and requires the VB6 runtime DLL.
- Extract all included files to a single directory.
- Register ExRainStatus.ocx. This is generally done using RegSvr32.exe,
which should be in your Windows folder if you have installed Visual Basic.
- You can read the documentation to learn how to use controls, and
there are also several sample projects to give an outline of how their properties, methods, and events work.
